Description
This DVD contains 10 simple-to-perform exercises designed to help overcome some of the balance and strength problems that often occur with aging - and increase the risk of dangerous falls. These exercises can be done at thome and are taught by Jennifer Beal, a Doctor of Physical Therapy with over 25 years of experience helping seniors with balance and strength issues.
Section One: Contains exercises to help with overall balance, strength, and flexibility
- Calf stretch
- Heel/toe raises
- Mini squats
- Side leg lifts
- Slow march and single leg stance
Section Two: Contains exercises to help balance and correct the rounded posture that often comes with aging.
- Doorway stretch
- Shoulder blade squeezes and should rolls
Section Three: Contains exercises to help balance by challenging legs and inner ear to respond to a smaller base of support as well as different surfaces.
- Standing balance
- Eye focus drills
